Also known as ‘Wrasslin’, Cornish Wrestling is a traditional form of grappling. In 1923 The Cornish Wrestling Association was formed in order to standardise the rules in the sport.
Hurling (Cornish: Hurlian),
Hurling is a traditional Cornish game that is played outside that involves a small silver ball. A game unique to Cornwall attracts crowds when played in St Columb Major. Cornish Hurling should not be confused with Irish Hurling – there are big differences between the two sports.
With similar roots to Hurling, Shinty is a game played on the ground with a 6 a side league that use wooden sticks, a lot like Hockey sticks. Cornwall has a Shinty club that competes in England and Scotland.
